Lake Shore Hall Effect Testing System
Lake Shore, founded in 1968, is an innovative leader in material characterization measurement and control solutions under extreme temperature and magnetic field conditions. Its main products include: low-temperature probe stations, vibration sample magnetometers, Hall effect measurement systems, low-temperature thermostats, low-temperature temperature controllers, low-temperature sensors, Gauss meters, etc.
The 8400 series Hall effect measurement system combines advanced AC and DC magnetic field Hall effect measurement methods and has a wide range of applications. The AC magnetic field measurement option is very suitable for measuring emerging materials that are difficult to measure using traditional DC Hall methods (with a mobility below 1 cm2/Vs, including semiconductor and electronic materials such as photovoltaics (solar cells) and thermoelectric materials, emerging display technologies, and organic electronic materials). Through different testing options, a temperature environment of 15 K to 1273 K can be selected, and the resistance between 0.5 µ Ω and 200 G Ω can be measured to determine the relationship between carrier concentration and carrier mobility with temperature.
In recent years, the newly launched M91 fast Hall testing system adopts Lake Shore's new FastHall measurement patent technology (patent numbers: 9797965 and 10073151), fundamentally changing the measurement method of Hall effect. During the measurement process, there is no need to flip the magnetic field, especially when using strong magnetic field superconducting magnets or measuring extremely low mobility materials, which can achieve faster and more accurate measurements. M91 FastHall can be used with any type of magnet, and a complete solution has been launched on the PPMS system,
