The predecessor of Yuchai, Yulin Quantang Industrial Society, was established in 1951. In 1992, the company completed its shareholding reform and established Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. In 1993, it implemented the transformation of Sino foreign joint venture shareholding system and became a Sino foreign joint venture shareholding enterprise in China. In 1994, China Yuchai International was listed on the New York Main Board in the United States (stock code NYSE: CYD), and is a domestic industry enterprise listed overseas. The company is headquartered in Yulin, Guangxi and is known as the "Green Power Capital of China".
Yuchai has over 8000 employees and an annual production capacity of over 700000 engines, achieving exports of 30000 units. The main products include seven categories and 22 series of micro, light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel engines and gas engines for vehicles, ships, engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, and power generation equipment. The power covers 55-880 kilowatts, and the emissions of all series of products meet the national emission standards of 3 or above. It is a complete enterprise in the product spectrum of China's diesel engine industry.
The Yuchai engine is a product developed by digesting and absorbing consulting results from Ford Company in the United States. It adopts an integral forged steel crankshaft, alloy cast iron body and cylinder head, with small volume, light weight, high reliability, and a major overhaul period of more than 12000 hours. It has low emissions, low noise, and good environmental performance.
