Advantages of Switched Reluctance Motors
(1) Efficient: As the magnetic field of a switched reluctance motor is generated by current, the size and direction of the magnetic field can be controlled as needed to achieve efficient rotation.
(2) Low cost: Compared to permanent magnet motors, switched reluctance motors have lower manufacturing costs because they do not require the use of permanent magnets.
(3) Strong controllability: Due to the fact that the magnetic field of switched reluctance motors can be controlled by current, better speed and torque control can be achieved, especially at low speeds and high loads, where the effect is more pronounced.
2. Advantages of permanent magnet motors
(1) Efficient: The torque and efficiency of permanent magnet motors are higher than those of switched reluctance motors because their magnetic field is generated by permanent magnets and does not require the consumption of electrical energy to generate the magnetic field.
(2) Strong stability: The magnetic field stability of permanent magnet motors is higher, so their performance is more stable and reliable during long-term operation.
(3) Small size: Due to the fact that permanent magnet motors do not require iron core windings, they are smaller in size and more convenient to install and use compared to switched reluctance motors.
