3、 Fault cause analysis
Open circuit in stator and rotor windings (one phase disconnected) or loss of power in one phase of the power supply; 
Wrong connection at the beginning and end of the winding lead or reversed connection inside the winding; 
Loose power circuit contacts with high contact resistance; 
The generator set is overloaded or the rotor is stuck; 
The power supply voltage is too low; 
Small generator sets are assembled too tightly or the grease inside the bearings is too hard; 
The bearing is stuck. 
4、 Cleaning and maintenance methods
When carrying out maintenance on the unit, it must be carried out while the unit is shut down, and the negative cable of the unit's starting battery must be removed to ensure that the unit will not start accidentally. 
The internal and external parts of the AC generator should be cleaned regularly, and the frequency of cleaning depends on the environment where the unit is located. Before cleaning, disconnect all power sources and wipe off any dust, dirt, oil, water, or any liquid on the surface
Remove and clean the ventilation net, as these things entering the coil can cause overheating or damage to the insulation. It is best to use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt, and do not use blowing air or high-pressure water to clean. 
The insulation resistance of the generator decreases due to moisture regain, and the generator must be dried.
