English: Spatial resolution
Definition: The ability of an instrument to distinguish the smallest details of a spatial object. Measure in units of lines per millimeter (1/mm or mm-1) or pairs of lines per millimeter (lp/mm). The spatial resolution is related to factors such as diffraction, image shift (generated by target motion or camera itself), and film.
Hyperspectral imaging technology combines the advantages of traditional imaging and spectral technology, and can simultaneously obtain spatial and spectral information of the object being detected. Therefore, hyperspectral imaging technology can not only detect the external quality of the object, but also detect the internal quality and quality safety of the object like spectral technology. This dual function enables hyperspectral imaging to provide both image texture and spectral features of the detected object, with good spatial resolution. Utilize hyperspectral imaging cameras in fields such as agriculture and forestry, food safety, biomedical diagnosis, material sorting, cultural relic detection, water quality testing, and airborne hyperspectral aerospace.
According to principles, hyperspectral cameras/imagers are generally divided into the following categories:
A grating spectrophotometer is used to unfold the spectrum through a grating, and then a linear array is pushed to scan for imaging, such as a Spectrum hyperspectral camera, covering various wavelengths and fields;
Two tunable filters are used for spectral analysis. This principle eliminates the need for external push broom or mobile devices, such as area array imaging and spectral scanning, such as the Hinalea gaze type hyperspectral camera;
A three chip coated hyperspectral camera has been developed using a highly sensitive CCD chip and CMOS chip to develop a new hyperspectral imaging technology. Different filter films of different bands are coated on the detector pixels to achieve hyperspectral imaging, such as XIMEA and IMEC. In addition, there are also built-in push broom hyperspectral cameras, chip push broom hyperspectral cameras, etc., which belong to the above three categories.
